Urgh. Unicorns, rainbows, magic, and mermaids. Just thinking about it gives us a throbbing headache. In case you didn't know, most of us went through a Lisa Frank phase. Remember Lisa Frank? It was a thing in the 90's and everything Lisa Frank touched was rainbow-colored. We're talking about books, bags, shirts, pencil cases. All except food. Oh, no. Food was sacred. Up until recently, the only food (or snack, rather) that got a free pass for being rainbow-colored was Skittles since their slogan was, "Taste the rainbow." Makes sense.
Since the 90's are long gone, you'd think everything rainbow would die with it. Not. Even. Close. Rainbow trends have exploded in the past few years, but people have become a little too creative. Rainbow-colored foods have popped up everywhere and along with them came unicorns and mermaids. Most of these 'magical' foods took the form of desserts, pastries, and... gasp... bagels!
If you're like me, you've probably had enough of the rainbow trend, and I have just the solution for you; charcoal-colored snacks or goth snacks. These pitch-black dark delights are created for people who can no longer stand the magical rainbow and need the extra edge in their lives.
